Cypress Glen East Nursing and Rehabilitation
Every 2nd Wednesday of each month, we do not have
our regular prayer meetings at Faith Baptist Temple.
On those Wednesdays, we meet at Cypress Glen East
Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
This primarily consists of music for the elderly folks there.
Brother Humble plays the piano.
David Peavy and Hanna Humble play guitars.
And Issac Humble plays his accordion.
They only use the old "Heavenly Highway" hymnals.
The elderly folks there really love those old hymns!
They seem to really enjoy the brief time we spend
with them singing those beautiful old songs.
I really don't know who enjoys it the most... us or them!
At the conclusion of the service, Brother Humble gives
the old folks a few brief words of encouragement and prayer.
Most of those elderly folks aren't able to attend church.
This gives them the chance to hear the old songs that they love
so much on what would otherwise be just another dreary day in
the nursing home.
